Day 1 bolzano
Individual arrivals. Bolzano in a famous commercial and tourist centre and also a historical and cultural connection between the Italian and German world. Overnight in Bolzano.

 

Day 2 – Bolzano – Trento (65/70 km)
Today we will ride mostly along the Adige river, through orchards and vineyards, passing the villages of Ora, Egna and Salorno. The dam pathways lead then to Trento. Possibility to shorten the stage by taking the train in several train stations along the way. Overnight in Trento.

 

Day 3 – Trento – Peschiera/Desenzano (50 km + ferry)
Pedaling along the Adige river we will reach Rovereto and Mori. From here westwards towards Lake Garda. After a short ascent, a refreshing descent will follow and lead you to Torbole and Riva del Garda. The ferry cruise from Riva takes us to the southern part of the lake. Overnight in Peschiera or Desenzano.

 

Day 4 – Peschiera/Desenzano – Verona (35/60 km)
Today we head to Verona. With the Adige river crossing it, Verona is one of the most important and beautiful cities in the Veneto region. Worth visiting are: the Roman Arena, the Church of San Zeno and Juliet’s House. Overnight in Verona.

 

Day 5 – Verona – Vicenza (75/40 km)
At first, the route starts out flat and then heads through the Monti Berici, a hilly region just south of Vicenza, with its wonderful view of the city. The old city centre is characterized by the beautiful private palaces and public buildings by Andrea Palladio, the famous 16th century architect known all over the world. Possibility to shorten the stage by taking the train in several train stations along the way. Overnight in Vicenza.

 

Day 6 – Vicenza – Padova (50 km)
Cycling out of Vicenza we will come across the beautiful Palladian Villa, called La Rotonda. Along the Bachiglione river, the route will continue to the fascinating city of Padova with its famous Giotto’s Scrovegni Chapel and one of the biggest square in Europe, “Prato della Valle”. Overnight in Padova.

 

Day 7 – Padova – Mestre/Venice (40 km)
We will cycle along the Brenta Canal, overlooked by the countryside villas of the ancient Venetian nobility (Villa Pisani, La Molcontenta, Villa Widdmann) until we reach Mestre, Venice’s mainland. Overnight in Mestre.

 

Day 8 – Mestre/Venice
Departure after breakfast. Transfer back to Bolzano on request when booking the tour. Possibility to book extra nights.
